A few Fat Tire Freaks went up to Davidson to race in the Cowbell Challenge Marathon 2009. Conditions were HOT. All riders did well… Congratulations to Dave Hall on his third place finish in SingleSpeed! Yeah Dave! Joel got 8th in singlespeed… Good work guys! Recap at: Pictures!! The Freaks met up at the Ashborough Trail in Summerville today for some fun twisty singletrack riding. The Ashborough Trail is an excellent trail with great armouring in all the right spots. Fast with twists in the trail which really make you work to keep your speed. A definite challenge to your bike handling skills… Great work guys! View MotionBased Web Data…The Fat Tire Freaks participated in the Tour de Cure fundraiser ride for Diabetes this weekend. Extreme temperatures and unexpected multiple hill climbs did not break their spirits. A great time was had by all. Waiting at the finish was a great lunch with lots of cold frosty refreshments! Congrats to Luke Farrow for riding and completing his first metric century! Way to go Luke! Riding up from Charleston to represent the Freaks were Brad Phillips and Joel Watson. Congratulations to Brad Phillips for a super-STRONG 2nd place finish with a tree bashing thrown in for an additional challenge.
